Traditional bedroom furniture often takes it’s cues from popular historic designs. Examples are French, French Country, Rococo, 18th Century Italian, just to name a few. Design cues are usually much softer than with contemporary furniture and the overall shapes tend to be much more involved (i.e. wood carving, scrolled metal).
